Chocolate! A-Z Blogging Challenge

Blogger is acting up so I can't catch up on my blog reading :( However, I can still post!

I wasn't sure what to write about for C. I thought of Characterisation, Clarity, Christmas and about twenty other things.

But in the end, chocolate was always going to win.

I don't know if I've even mentioned this on my blog before, but I am a true chocoholic. One serving a day is my bare minimum (although I'm working on changing that at the moment). I have very childish taste in chocolate - I'll eat any kind, but the proper, rich, dark, grown-up stuff doesn't grab me as much as the sweet milky confections. And do not get me STARTED on my love of Cadbury's Creme Eggs.

Even though my diet/healthy-eating plan starts today, I still wanted to ask you all - what's your favourite chocolatey treat? Since I'm planning to have chocolate less often, I need to enjoy each chocolate experience more!

  2. Now this is a subject I can talk a lot about! Caramel Kit Kats are my thing, although I recently discovered Reece's peanut butter cups which my daughter's American boyfriend sends her (what? Sharing is good!). These shouldn't work, but do.

Extra points to you Ellen for starting your diet/healthy eating plan today. Me, I'm waiting until AFTER Easter :)

  5. OK, must try this chocolate/peanut butter combo!

Agreed, Kitty, chocolate with chilli is fab, especially hot chocolate!

Ever tried very dark Lindt with added sea salt? It sounds weird, but I loved it :)

  6. Fallows & Byrne in town sell peanut butter M&Ms...

I think I'm just a very simple person when it comes to chocolate. A nice bag of giant chocolate buttons will do fine.

  7. Giant chocolate buttons are wonderful.

Much as I love sea salt chocolate and chilli chocolate and fancy-schmantsy Belgian chocolate, nothing beats Cadbury's.

  8. I almost wrote about chocolate for my "c" post! I've been eating more of those dark chocolate bars by Lindt and some of the other smaller companies.

The only chocolate I didn't enjoy was one that had bacon in it. Too salty for me! Here's a link to that place in case you want to try it: http://www.vosgeschocolate.com/

  9. Thanks Michelle :) There speaks a true chocolate-lover - 'I didn't like this but you might.'

I'll be in NYC for a few days in June this year so if I'm passing Spring Street or Madison Avenue, I may have to check out chocolate with bacon!

  10. Only dark, dark chocolate for me. I started out with one square (strictly medicinal, right?) after dinner and I'm now up to four squares. Not a pretty sight if I miss them, either.

  11. Yay for chocolate! I've had issues with blogger today, too. Bad Blogger!

  12. I love chocolate, my favourite is Galaxy yum :-)

  13. I don't think it's possible to narrow all of chocolate to one favourite - maybe caramel chocolate buttons from the Hotel Chocolat? Depends what I'm in the mood for, really, but generally milk chocolate (not Hershey's though. Something about Hershey tastes all wrong to my tastebuds)

  14. My wife gave me a package of about 8 Tolberones last year. BEST gift ever. :)

  15. I have always loved dark chocolate. I kid you not even as a child. But my very favorite treat was and still is dark chocolate covered cherries. Sigh!!!!

  16. Hmm, chocolate! My favourite is Lindt chocolate, or dark chocolate truffles, or . . . pretty much anything chocolate.

  17. Chocolate in and of itself is one of life's greatest pleasures, of course.

Chocolate and peanut butter are heaven... and I'd also recommend chocolate and cinnamon.
